For the 2016 Doughty Street Chambers

“Arbitration and Crime”

Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to invite you to join our international arbitration team and distinguished guest speakers at Arundel House, Temple Place (home to the International Institue of Strategic Studies) on Wednesday 7 September, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a topical discussion on international arbitration and crime.

The panellists will debate some of the most pressing issues concerning the interaction of international arbitration and criminal allegations or proceedings, including the consequences of corruption in BIT claims, the power of ICSID tribunals to enjoin domestic criminal proceedings, the conduct of parallel arbitral and criminal proceedings, and the evidentiary challenges of proving bribery and corruption allegations in arbitration.

The forum will be followed by a drinks reception from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

We look forward to welcoming you at Arundel House, 13-15 Arundel Street, Temple Place, London WC2R 3DX — a map is available by clicking here.

In the meantime, please direct any queries to Mark WassoufPaul Barker, or Emilie Gonin. Alternatively our International Team Co-ordinator Vera Padberg will be pleased to help.
